FAQs

I am interested in therapy, what is the next step?
You can call 416 275 2020 or                      to arrange an appointment or to get a free phone consultation to determine whether you may benefit from my psychology services. If you decide to proceed, we would then set up an intake appointment.

What can I expect during the initial meeting?
A 90 minute intake appointment will be scheduled that will include a comprehensive interview to determine your specific needs for psychological treatment, and the type of treatment that would be best suited for you.

How many sessions will I need, and how often will I need to come in?
As a psychologist who practices cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal therapy (IPT), my model for therapy is short-term, generally lasting from 4 to 20 hourly sessions. The frequency of your appointments will be determined during the first few sessions, and will vary depending upon your specific objectives and needs.

How long are therapy sessions?
The initial intake appointment is 90 minutes, and weekly sessions thereafter are approximately 50 minutes in length.

Where are you located?
I am part of an integrated health practice called Yorkville Medical and am located in downtown Toronto, at the SW corner of Bay and Cumberland; 1/2 block north of Bay and Bloor.  There is easy access to public transit, as my office is right at Bay subway, or a 5 min walk from the Yonge and Bloor subway stations. Parking is also available in nearby public parking lots.

What are your office hours?
Office hours are normally from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Appointment times are available before work, around lunch hour as well as after work for your convenience.
